Final game blog
I am the creator of the game Lotus Lamp. At the beginning of creating this game, I didn't have any idea about the game. First, I drawing on an ancient Chinese myth as a backdrop to onfold my game's storyline. Second, I chose to make my game with Minecraft. Because I am more familiar with Mineecraft than other game design engines/tools. When I started to use Minecraft to create the game, I have learned a lot of new knowledge, like: how to use the Command Block, how to make the game automation...... To created this game, the challenges were make the game aotumation: automatic, endless supply of materials to players, there will be no situation that can not be released in time. Gradually difficult level. And the progress were I make my game aesthetic. Had enough checkpoint for players. And had remedies when players fell from high place but not dead, there will had different types of restart method. After players played my game, the gamemode will be trun to creative mode, so players can go to anywhere in the game. I felt proud when I finished making my game. I have a deep interest in game development since I made the game in computer game design develop class. I want to continue making game. If I was going to the field of game design I think to build the game and adjust the unreasonable parts of the game woul suit me best. Because I have very few ideas, and generally I don't have any new ideas, so I am not suitable for design work.
